Information About Tracking Time Sheets
Do you need your employees to keep better track of time sheets for hours worked on the job and are looking for the right timekeeping solution? Then you should invest in software that will allow you to do that seamlessly with no headaches.
GHG Corporation offers a fantastic timekeeping software product called eTSS. The software is installed on a central server and it is completely web based. Employees only need an Internet browser and an Internet connection (someone on your sales team for instance can log on to the system while on the road using dial-up if a WiFi network isn’t immediately available). It’s the ideal timekeeping tool for your accounting and payroll department.
There’s many things that can be accomplished using eTSS software. For starters, it’s totally secure. Log on sessions are conducted using the https protocol. Every employee is provided with a user name and password by the systems administrator to access eTSS. Your employees indicate the hours worked on their time sheets, and if they realize that they’ve made an error after the fact, it’s not a problem since they can access the time sheet again and fix the mistake. Old time sheets can also be accessed, if necessary.
Some hardware and software requirements must be met to get you up and running with eTSS. The software needs to be installed on a computer using 1 GHz Dual Pentium Xeon processors or better running Windows 2003 Server. For the database Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack 4 or Microsoft SQL Server 2005 is required. You’ll need Java 2 Development Kit version 1.4.2 installed as well, and if you don’t already the eTSS installation package includes it. Connections to the server are made securely, but make sure you have an adequate firewall set up on your system. Employees can log on using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher.
You should definitely consider eTSS if you need to keep better track of your employee’s time sheets.
